On some Sportster Models it will be necessary to drill a 5/16" hole in the frame web plate. Align all brackets, use upper mounting bracket as template.
NOTE B:
Depending on the diameter of your frame rails, 1 1/4", 1 1/8", or 1", you may want to shorten the ends of the lower clamps so they do
not extend beyond the screw heads. Count the number of slots you want to shorten. Remove and shorten clamps, file or grind ends smooth, reinstall clamps. |
