- Remove crash bar mounting bolt from frame web plate.
- Place washer, bracket and spacer in order, on bolt provided in mounting kit.
- Install bolt through frame web plate and into crash bar tab nut.
- Rotate lower clamps to position screw heads toward the outside.
- Place top of cooler behind bracket and install clamp around lower bracket bar and cooler, with the screw toward the rear and the screw head down.
- Fasten lower clamps around frame rails. See NOTE B below.
NOTE B:
Depending on the diameter of your frame rails, 1 1/4", 1 1/8", or 1", you may want to shorten the ends of the lower clamps so they do
not extend beyond the screw heads. Count the number of slots you want to shorten. Remove and shorten clamps, file or grind ends smooth, reinstall clamps. |
