SPECIAL NOTE

On some Buell Motorcycles, the design and positioning of the front fender is such that during front fork compression, such as extreme braking, the front fender may come in contact with the oil cooler, as illustrated in Figure 1. This condition could result in damage to the tip of the fender, and it could be annoying as hell to the rider!

BEFORE OPERATING THE MOTORCYCLE

After Oil Cooler installation, compress the front fork as much as possible. Make sure there is a minimum clearance of a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) between the Oil Cooler and the fender. Test this minimum clearance for all possible (normal and/or extreme) operating positions.
